Workforce Training

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES

We work with management to determine the training needs of the organisation and of the individual employees. From this information we propose the range of courses to be included in a workforce development programme for the organisation.

We then implement the programme, by preparing work material, assigning staff and then providing any language and technical assistance required for the completion of the courses.

At PILOT, our workforce training programmes are designed round the needs of both your individual employees and your organisation. These requirements are determined through discussion and appropriate analysis. We provide the following services:

APPROPRIATE ANALYSIS OF TRAINING NEEDS
To assess training needs within your organisation, our experience staff will conduct an in depth review of your organisation's operational activities and performance with the relevant managers.

The requirements for assessment and development are formulated into a plan and proposals presented to management. The individuals proposed to be involved in any development programme are then involved in discussion and initial assessments. If required, the Thomas International psychometric tests can be included in this assessment.

All our Trainer/assessors have already obtained or are working towards the Matrix Standard qualification for the provision of Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG). This standard is recognised by the LSC as being the desirable target for providing support for learners. This ensures the every learner develops an action plan for ongoing training and is given appropriate advice and support throughout the training programme.

TRAINING IN THE WORKPLACE
To reduce training costs and time lost through travelling, we undertake the bulk of our training and assessment work at the learners' workplace. This provides the most comfortable and accepted learning environment for adult workers and enables us to see and assist them in the performance of their work and the development of their roles.

IMPROVING TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE: Value-added initiatives
Whenever we are delivering a nationally accredited NVQ course, we provide specific additional training selected to match the needs of both the organisation and the learner. This is targeted at developing the knowledge and/or skills of the learner. This further training can be technical, operational or a personal or managerial skill.

In the case of key business improvement techniques, immediate benefits to your organisation will be derived from implementation of the principles that are covered.

PERSONALISED TRAINING
In addition to delivering nationally accredited workforce development courses, we run bespoke training events, developed to meet the needs of individuals as well as organisation. In 2006, these have ranged from additional, individual coaching of IT skills through to a complete culture change programme, for the entire workforce of over 500 employees.
