Management MANAGEMENT NVQ - Levels 3, 4 and 5 WHO ARE THEY FOR? The Courses will appeal to all company directors and managers who desire to review or improve their managerial skills and who wish their present ability to be rewarded with an internationally recognised qualification. The courses at the various levels are applicable across a wide range of spans of control, from those who have some responsibility for budgets and for allocating work and resources to senior executives who control business operations. Level 3: The qualification is designed for first line managers who have decision-making responsibilities within defined limits and wider responsibility for people and their performance. The Course will appeal to managers who have some responsibility for budgets and for allocating work. Level 4: The award is aimed at middle managers with a wider span of control, greater accountability for performance and responsibility for determining resource allocation and operational methods. Level 5: The qualification is designed for senior managers with a high degree of autonomy for deploying resources and achieving strategic goals. The work required to achieve the qualification will be supported by a series of trainer visits to the Candidate's workplace, spread throughout the Course programme. The topics covered by the Course at each level are listed below. At each level, there are a series of mandatory topics and a further number of topics to be selected from a range of options. The choice and number of optional subjects to be taken is dependent on the level of the course being followed. At Level 3, Candidates are required to undertake a total of seven units, of which four are of general relevance and are mandatory.
