NVQ CERTIFICATE and DIPLOMA in BUSINESS AND ADMINISTRATION (QCF) - Level 2
AIMS OF THE COURSE
For participants who are entering business or already have an administrative role, to have their current skills assessed and recognised against accredited national standards and to raise their level of competence at work to meet the standards.
COURSE STRUCTURE
The course consists of four mandatory topics, termed "Units" and a number of additional Units to be chosen from a comprehensive list of business activities rated at Levels 1, 2 or 3.
For the Certificate - To achieve the full Certificate qualification a minimum total of 21 Credits is required. This must comprise 9 Credits for the four mandatory Units and at least 4 additional Credits to be achieved by completing optional Units at Levels 2 or 3. No more than 5 Credits can be gained from the IT-related Units, nos. 112 - 124 and 232 - 242.
For the Diploma - To achieve the full Diploma qualification a minimum total of 37 Credits is required. This must comprise 9 Credits for the four mandatory Units and at least 14 additional Credits to be achieved by completing optional Units at Levels 2 or 3. No more than 11 Credits can be gained from the IT-related Units, nos. 112 - 124 and 232 - 242.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Participants should be working in an administrative capacity or have an appropriate work placement and enroll before 31st Dec. 2013.
QUALIFICATION GAINED: City & Guilds NVQ Certificate or Diploma in Business and Administration (QCF) - Level 2
COURSE ASSESSMENT: Assessment of evidence in the workplace by observation, written answers to set questions, witness statements, etc.
